Background

Born in Los Angeles, the trusted lifestyle shop features creative objects and vibrant goods, including unique glass pipes and ceramic smokeware. The Flower Pot combines the elements of a headshop with a functional art gallery, featuring artisanally crafted cannabis accessories and plant-forward goods designed to bring peace and pleasure to the home.

Conundrum

Initially, TFP launched with a focus on cannabis, at a time when there were few competitors. Facing regulatory hurdles as a small shop, the brand pivoted to botanical wellness. Soon after, the marketplace became oversaturated with CBD. Newer sellers began circulating the compound as a cure-all, making medical promises that were unsubstantiated and underresearched.

After seven years in business, TFP’s founder decided to pursue a tighter niche focused primarily on art. Taking a nod from data and insights, the most traffic came from smokeware and chic accessories. The brand shift intended to align with customer preferences, and more accurately reflect her passion for curated spaces. Now, TFP highlights collaborations with local artisans, offering seasonal artist residencies and unique, small-batch creations.

As the industry evolved, so did the brand's offerings—shifting from plant-forward beauty and wellness to plant-forward home and design. The rebranding required a clear direction, with an updated website centered around the exploration of artisan-made objects and smoking accessories.

A-ha!

The comprehensive rebrand included a full verbal and visual shift, presenting TFP as the go-to destination for responsible cannabis consumers seeking stylish, functional art pieces. Intentional art direction informed the creation of a new logo, along with fresh typography, custom iconography, original photography, and other visual elements ushered TFP into a new era.

Enhancing Shopify's e-commerce capabilities was a major focus, with built-in functionality expanding to accommodate increasing international sales in Canada and Europe. A full copy refresh helped redefine the shop’s foundation through all messaging, social media, and newsletter outreach. TFP’s new website serves the sophisticated weed consumer with artful cannabis tools that perfectly complement thoughtfully created spaces.
